Rama KrishnaBoppanna started his career in Department of Telecommunications as JTO and later joined the erstwhile Indian Airlines Ltd. He retired from Air India service in the year 2011 as Chief Aircraft Engineer (Avionics) and worked on HS 748 Avro aircraft Boeing 737, Airbus 300 as an Electrical Engineer, On Airbus Family Aircraft A-320, A321, A319, and A-330 aircraft as Avionics Engineer. Carried out Major/Minor maintenance checks on various aircraft.
Post-retirement Mr. Boppanna undertook various independent assignments. Some of his appointments and major accomplishments in the field of Aviation Safety are:
Quality & Safety Management Systems in Cochin International Aviation Services Ltd
Overhaul experience in component Maintenance
Established Indigenously developed test Benches for carrying out Tests on Avionics components
Carried out safety audit during aircraft maintenance as well as within operational areas of aircraft
Prepared Maintenance Organization Exposition(MOE) for DGCA as well as EASA
Developed a Safety Management System Manual for aircraft
Conducted training on Fuel tank safety & ESDS devices and EWIS
