Rathan V Sagar

Advocate Rathan V Sagar is a Partner at Aakash Law LLP, practicing at the intersection of technology, commerce, and criminal law. He advises businesses, startups, private enterprises, government bodies, and individuals on technology regulation, cybercrime, commercial disputes, and criminal litigation.

Rathan holds a B.Com LLB from BMS College of Law and is enrolled with the Bar Council of India, backed by a strong academic foundation and specialized certifications such as CCIO and CPEW from the National Security Database.

Group Captain Pola Aanand Naidu (retd) has over three decades of experience in multicultural, technology driven, large organisations in senior positions in management, operations and policy intervention. Presently, he is  Director  BreachPoint Pvt Ltd, TathaTara Foundation, Tactical Cyberange Simulations Pvt Ltd ( Cyberange), and Director of Information Sharing  and Analysis Center, CopConnect, NALSAR University of Law teaching Aviation and Cyber Laws as Adjunct Professor, Advisor and mentor  with Aakash Law, and   mentoring some startups.

       

He mentors the Social Impact initiative of ISAC known as CopConnect with a 23K Cyber Crime Intervention Officers in who are First Responders in Cyber Laws Conducted multiple cyber law awareness sessions to law students Conducted Cyber law sessions to the Supreme Court Bar Association Participated in Asia Pacific Broadcasters Conference representing India in media laws at Kulalampur, Malaysia. 

Delivered keynote speeches on media laws in multiple conferences organized 23 defend the flag events bringing awareness on cyber laws. Trained a large number of students as Cyber Aware Netizens adding to the National Security Database. Represented multiple military accused persons as defending officers before the Court Marshals with a fair amount of acquittals. An acquittal by a military court is a rarity as multiple levels of screening and fitness for trial are endorsed before a Court Marshal is ordered. Further the Judge Advocate General generally advises the Court in a Court Marshal thus making it difficult for the defending officer to get an acquittal for the accused.

Functioning as a co-guide for a PhD research scholar of NALSAR University who is researching into the niche field of Drone Laws Contributed towards identifying operational gaps, strategy, team building, training needs and ensuring operational excellence to accomplish organizational goals.

Priyanka serves as the Head– CopConnect Operations and CSR at ISAC, in addition to being a qualified Cyber Lawyer. With over 300 cybercrime interventions to her credit, she has supported victims across India, demonstrating a deep commitment to digital justice and safety.

She brings with her 8 years of teaching experience at reputed institutions in Bengaluru and holds an LL.M. in Constitutional and Administrative Law from the School of Law, Christ University. She secured first rank in her LLM, earning the Academic Excellence Award. She further enriched her legal acumen through a Summer School at the Hague Academy of International Law, held at the International Court of Justice, Netherlands. She has also been an active researcher presenting her work at various national and international universities including TMC Asser Institute, Netherlands – a world renowned university for its research on armed conflicts. Recently she has also drafted a bill of Digital Literacy to the Government of Karnataka.

A passionate public speaker and educator, Priyanka has delivered over 250+ cyber awareness sessions across India for resident communities, women’s groups, schools, universities and to defend veterans. Her expertise has earned her a place on prominent panels, including the “Southern Regional Law Review Consultation on Cyber Laws Affecting Women” organized by the National Commission for Women, where she shared critical insights on online child sexual abuse. She also spoke on similar issues as a panelist at the National Police Academy, Hyderabad.

Priyanka’s thought leadership extends to the media as well. She was featured on the podcast Coffee with Counsel and also interviewed in a youtube channel (Gaurishakki studio) where she shed light on the evolving modus operandi of cybercrimes in India. In recognition of her impactful work in community safety and cyber awareness, she was recently honored as a “Safe Community Advocate” by Security Today, as part of their Top Indian Women Influencers and Initiatives for Security and Safety 2025.
